Spy photo: 2008 Cadillac CTS

Is a spy photo a spy photo if it was shown on national
television? In an interview on last night's episode of 60 minutes, Bob Lutz
showed reporter Steve Kroft what looks to be the next generation Cadillac CTS. Lutz
only pulled back enough of the cover to reveal the grille and headlights, but
it was more than enough to get a little speculation going. There's also a
glimpse of a mockup of the interior later in the segment. See for yourself on
the 60 minutes website.

Looks good. That grille is gigantic, eh? I like the swept back headlights, though. They took the STS and went a little farther with it. I'm glad they didn't go "safe" with the styling.

And here GM goes again. "PHUCKING" THINGS UP! What did they do to the grill of this car?? It's hideous!. They ruined the sleek design and made it butt ugly and GARISH. Their designers should be shot firing squad style

What a shame. When it comes to knowing how to market cars in this country (U.S.A.) GM has its head so far up its ass it's eating it's own feces

If people like mediapusher, and irnmdn was left to design what the next Cadillac CTS would look like I guess we all would looking forward toward something like a Yogo....I think adillac is really steppin forward and finally see`n a clear point of veiw how to get young buyers to look at there cars...they had me ever since..Keep It Come CADILLAC what is next?

The bottom line, is that Cadillac doesn't need young buyers to "LOOK" at the cars...they need them to BUY them! I agree with what mediapusher had to say about "ruining the sleek design and making it butt ugly and garish." When you're in your 30's and you go to buy a $40K car you want something that looks nice but doesn't make you look like Eminem showing up to the bling party. I believe the typical BUYER is looking for style and substance. -Cadillac is better off leaving the oversized grilles slapped on cheaply manufactured cars for Chrysler/Jeep to manufacture. The aftermarket is doing a fine job of supplying garish ugly grills and spinner wheels if someone is inclined to pimp out a new Cadillac (or ruin it).

I seriously hope that the new CTS looks better than what I've seen from the spyshots. From what I've seen they've taken one of the best looking futuristic designs and frumped up the interior while making the exterior resemble a 300C or Mercedes.
