FV Report: 2008 Nissan Rogue crossover to debut in Detroit

According to Automotive News, the 2008 Nissan Rogue compact crossover will be unveiled at the 2007 Detroit auto show. Smaller than the Murano, the Rogue will probably look similar to the Qashqai concept shown in Paris. The teaser shot provided by Nissan shows a rear end that looks a lot like Audi's Q7 SUV. A big wheel and tire combination is also evident, but we're guessing the production version will get something less aggressive and more appropriate to the compact SUV segment... Power is expected to come from Nissan's strong running 2.5-liter four-cylinder and it will most likely offer both front- and all-wheel drive.

Mini-Murano should look decent. They should let the Murano grow bigger once this is available.

I just wish they'd ship the Kubistar to the states...

Are they going to sell both the Qashqai and the Rogue here in the US? That would be interesting to have two compact suv's. The teaser shot looks attractive.

They won't sell the Qashqai in the USA because it's about the size of the Versa five-door hatchback! The Rogue--based on the larger Renault/Nissan "C" platform, will likely be a more appropriate competitor to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4.

nOW MURANO SHOULD GROW LIKE HAVING 7 PASSENGER SEATING CAPACITY. THIS ONE IS A MINI SIZED MURANO
