I actually prefer that artistic rendering with its fully black plastic at the bottom of the flanks, rather than the weird mixture of painted paneling and black plastic in the photograph. It's just too plain, boring, and Tribeca/Chrysler-like.

The concept was more interesting, for sure, but this look purposeful and practical.
Plus it looks very different than the Veracruz and Sante Fe, so I think they did a good job not cannibalizing Hyundai.

I like what I see so far, and it shows that Hyundai and Kia can really make some desirable cars. The color shown here is great, though I wish it would be named the Mesa instead.
I also agree with orangutan, the all black bumpers in the rendering looks pretty sweet.

I'm glad they aren't calling this thing, Mesa, because it looks absolutely nothing like the concept. I guess I'm just hoping it still comes out, though I know Kia doesn't have the courage to actually produce a totally awesome vehicle like the Mesa concept.

Artistic license? If you look at that one closeup grille image in the link, as you scroll down, they are using an "H."

Bob, I don't even recognize that emblem! Did Kia get a new one? What's the story with that?
