Spy photos: 2010 Mini Crossman

We’ve seen spy photos of what looked like the 2010 Mini Crossman before, but these latest shots confirm the existence of its all-wheel drive hardware. The engineers in this prototype didn’t seem to mind the attention as our spy shooters were able to snap multiple angles of Mini’s upcoming soft-roader. Although adding all-wheel drive and a new suspension doesn’t seem like a major undertaking, we’re not expecting to see this Mini start production until 2010.

It's funny.

A Mini is great for what it is.

Then they lengthen in. Clubman.

Now they raise it up, too. It's just not a Mini any more.

I bet it'll end up over 3000 lbs, too.

BMW should sell an X1 crossover instead of super-sizing Mini. It would make much more sense.

Is this one a 4 door? The Clubman, sadly, is a 3 door.

. . . for some reason i feel like it is taking mini forever to launch the Clubman. therefore, this new "Crossman" is a good idea, but i doubt will see production until a third generation Mini is introduced.
