Ateixeira is 1 for 1 so far. lol
$40K for a Pontiac is like $30K for a VW compact. Quite pricy. If I can't have a CTS-V though, this is a nice alternative.

Yea but this isn't a Grand Am, this is a really nice Pontiac, and if I could afford that, I would get it. Its a great deal, 13 second quarter mile and only $40,000 isn't bad at all.

Me like, just delete the hood scoops please. I could see myself driving this car if gas were cheaper.

so can we say SRT-8 G8 GXP showdown?? I'll bet that this sedan blows the doors off any of the Mopars, especially considering the G8 already comes close to matching the SRT in performance...

$40K is a very reasonable price. Consider the fact that the G35, 335i and 300C/Charger SRT8 all cost around the same, and this car is likely to smoke all of them or at least be very equal to them.

isn't the srt-8 already owned by the g8?
to me its hard to stomach ethier a 40k dodge, or a 40k ponitac. But if the production is more halo like then anything else. I have no problems with it. I'd probably move to a cts, 135/335 for the this price though.
However if it doesn't sell, just imagine the discount.

Bad timing with oil at $111 per barrel, but my guess is the target buyer doesn't care much what gas costs.

opfreak you get what you pay for. The only reason the Dodge or Pontiac costs $40K is because they're high performance cars. Similarily, a Toyota can cost more than $50K (Sequoia), a Subaru can hit $40K as well (WRX STi). It's all relative.
IMO its better to get a G8 for around $40K and get all the good stuff than to get a stripped down version of a luxury car.

I would much rather have a loaded G8 GXP for 40K than a stripped down 5 Series or even a partially stripped 3-series. Especially since it is as good as it is. A 40K Dodge though with it's drab interior and now not as hot performance isn't as attractive
