Straightline

So Ford trucks get diesels, not cars. Plus they're still pushing EcoBoost powertrains. Sounds like a good plan.

It would be nice to see a 2-2.5l diesel in the fusion/escape, but seeing as how the F150 is their highest volume vehicle, and will probably have the highest takeup % of the engine, this is probably the best place for them to put it.
 
It worries me that this probably has more to do with problems from their current diesel engine supplier than a company focus on efficient powertrains.
