Regardless if it is Geely or Chery, one of these automakers will soon find itself competing for a piece of the US auto market. They might struggle in the beginning but surely they will soon gain market share momentum.

There is no need to worry, at least not from a Chinese brand. Although these Chinese automakers are quickly absorbing foreign technologies and techniques, or should i say copying or boot-legging, to create their own products, they lagged far behind in capital and research capability. Unlike Toyota, for reliability, or Honda, for build quality, or Hyundai, for 10 years warranty, Chinese automakers have nothing but cheap price as selling points. But the real concern for us in America is that big 3 or foreign brands like Toyota and Honda started to ship car parts, or entire cars, from China. Talk about another coffin nail to UAW and manufacturing jobs in America.

I'm not about to laugh at them. Look at the koreans. Everyone that was laughing ten years ago are now eating their hats. Give the Chinese ten years and I bet quality will have improved. Prices are crazy low. If they can produce something attractive, which so far they haven't, I bet lots of people will try them.
