The all-new Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo will be shown off to the North American public for the first time during Monterey Peninsula's Classic Car Week in Northern California August 9 - 16. The Quail Lodge will be the backdrop of a Porsche Experience Center where VIP test drives will be conducted throughout the week. The Panamera celebration also involves the 36th Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races where Porsche is the featured marque this year. Porsche will bring to the event a number of significant and rare historic race cars, the Formula One and Two cars among them.
Porsche's first-ever four-door sports car with 4 seats comes in three styles. The 400 horsepower Panamera S has a zero to 60 miles per hour of 5.2 seconds and a price tag of $89,800. The Panamera 4S also has 400 horsepower, a top speed of 175 miles per hour but a quicker 4.8 second zero to 60 and a $93,800 sticker. The Panamera Turbo has 500 horsepower, a zero to 60 of 4 seconds flat, 188mph top speed and price of $132,600. There are options that can push the prices even higher like Porsche Entry & Drive, ParkAssist (front and rear) including rearview camera and thermally and noise insulated glass, to name a few.
The Panamera will go on sale at Porsche's 202 U.S. dealers on October 17, 2009.
