The Frankfurt Auto Show alternates every year with Paris and tomorrow the media days begin in a city that is experiencing off and on rain showers and amazing growth with building cranes from the airport to the area around the huge convention center. This is the largest auto show complex I've seen in my 20 plus years covering these events. BMW, Mercedes and VW all have halls that match the size of many entire shows. This is the first big auto show since the economy and car industry hit a huge speed bump that entailed bankruptcies and major reorganizations. Kia and Hyundai have big vehicle announcements. Above is the electric smart. Tesla also has their electric vehicles driving around the streets of Frankfurt (see below).
