Dutch Firm Unveils All-Electric Delivery Van Fitted With Li-Ion Phosphate Batteries
Dutch automaker DuraCar presents the QUICC! DiVa, a plug-in all-electric urban delivery van for the European market.
DuraCar says the vehicle employs lithium-ion phosphate batteries in conjunction with bipolar lead batteries and "bio-methanol reformer fuel cell technology" (your guess is as good as ours).
We'll likely give the vehicle a good look at the Paris Motor Show, where it will debut, in part because its makers claim the zero-emissions vehicle can cover 93 miles between charges and has a top speed of 75 miles per hour.
The QUICC! DiVa is wrapped in a "cradle-to-cradle" plastic chassis and body. DuraCar says the vehicle will be available next year. It has yet to mention price.
