Retro Revival -- Lamborghini Miura Concept

I must say that the Lamborghini Miura Concept is one of my favorite cars to debut in the last two weeks. It's yet another blatant rip-off of a classic shape...and yet another beautiful vehicle I'd love to see in showrooms. The guys over at The German Car Blog uncovered some cool wallpapers available for download, and I might just have to update my desktop as a result. If you've been following my blog you already know I put this car as one of my personal five all-time most attractive vehicles...

But, like many performance cars of the 1960s, the original Miura had various mechanical and ergonomic issues. As with the Ford GT, I'd welcome a new version with all the style of the original and none of the foibles. Go ahead and make mine that strangely compelling shade of green, too!

That's green? I'd have called it some sort of mustard yellow. Either way I agree that it's a hot car!

Don't mind Karl. How does it show future design of Lambo? Isn't a concept car meant for that.

Has anyone else noticed that this new Lambo looks sad? Check out the headlights and the grille opening. Otherwise this is one retro car that I would love to see on the road.

The car looks great, however the color doesn't. That sickly green yellow doesn't looks right. Put it in orange or yellow, two of Lamborghini's best colors and then it would look better.

I like the profile, but ditch the ugly louvres on the rear hatch. That screams 80s Mustang. And the lower lip spoiler on the front bumper just looks odd, almost like it's detached from the car.

Clean it up, and the basic lines are all in place for a classis.

I gotta admit, though, it doesn't "look expensive", not like what it would have to cost.

A defniite bummer. I'm still not enthralled by either the Gallardo or Murcielago, but this one could have given me a modern Lambo to lust after.

Oh well.
