Edmunds' New Model Review Pages -- Check 'Em out!

We've recently upgraded the Edmunds vehicle page structure to a system that provides far greater - and more convenient - information on individual models. Where previously our model information was split between new, used, future and "Generations" content (Generations was basically a full model history of a specific vehicle) we've now brought all this vehicle content together into a single, easily-navigated structure. Finding the content is easy because whenever you navigate to a single pricing page for a new or used vehicle you can use the breadcrumbs link at the top of the page to locate the other pages.

Here's an example...

Go to the Edmunds.com home page and scroll down to the "Browse by Makes" section. Then click on your chosen make (here's the link to "BMW") and it will bring up a full list of current, past and even future models. You can click on any model listed (here's the 2007 3 Series link) and it will take you to that model's pricing page. But, if you click on the 3 Series link in the breadcrumbs at the top of the page you can find another page with more 3 Series information, plus another set of links on the left side to the 3 Series' full history (formerly "Generations") and a link to historical 3 Series photography. If you scroll down the left side you'll also find links to current Inside Line road tests. It probably sounds a litle more complex than it is in practice, but a few minutes of playing around with the links should make it all very clear. The same system will work for any model, so try the Honda Civic or Ford Mustang and you'll get the same wealth of content. Great stuff for the car geeks out there who can lose themselves in vehicle content for hours on end (not that I can relate or anything...).

A big thanks goes out from me to my tireless editorial team, all of whom have put in long hours over the past six months to assemble this massive source of entertaining and useful automotive information for the Edmunds user.

Thanks guys!!!

Those manufacturer Research pages and the vehicle overviews are brilliant!

I still think most of the menu pages are too busy and confusing though. Your page counter will know better than I do, but I would guess that a lot of people won't even notice the manufacturer research link. Not that having so much information is a bad thing... I don't know what I'd do with all of it either.

The new layout and organization are greatly appreciated and make it much easier to find info on specific car models. Thank you, Edmunds crew!

Is there no longer the consumer review feature on the vehicle overviews?

If so I would like to make an appeal to bring this feature back, this was very helpful when I bought my car this past year, it helped me look for possible annoyances in the model, pick out innovations that would have taken much longer to spot, as well as general feedback on the model which in turn led me to make a more educated decision before buying.

If this feature is still availible, make it easier to find please, I have not been able to find it.

Otherwise, it does look a lot nicer and I do like the easier access to the generations, as well as the new, used, and future articles

The easiest way to find the consumer reviews is to use the drop-down menu on any vehicle pricing page. Here is the page for the 2007 BMW 335i sedan:
http://www.edmunds.com/new/2007/bmw/3series/100814245/prices.html?action=1

Once on this page hit the "Jump to" drop down menu on the right side and you'll see a list of other pieces of vehicle information, including "Consumer Discussions" and "Consumer Reviews."
