Driving home in Pontiac G8 long-term car. Forgot how fast it is until I had to pass someone. It's fast.

As I recall, you found this car underwhelming a while back. Any change in opinion, or is still just a good car that could have been great?

It's still fast and handles relatively well, and it still has screwy, clearly-Australian ergonomics that annoy me.

The hard-to-fix stuff is good, but some tweaks to the details would do wonders. Unfortunately, I think I just described far too many domestic cars, and in today's market (actually, the car market over the past 15-plus years) there's no room for "almost greats."
