Hyundai displaces Nissan in "Big 6" Automaker Rankings in April

I was interviewed by the Canadian Business News Network on Hyundai's growth and success in the U.S. market in recent years. Here's the clip: http://watch.bnn.ca/headline/april-2009/headline-april-28-2009/#clip166531

People really must like cheap interiors, not sure if hyundai's are a step up from all the horrible domestic rentals I drove... American car markers for sure love cheap plastic interiors. But I might be prejudice as I'm a german...

Those Germans sure love having their overpriced car in the shop. But I might be prejudice as I'm an American.

;)

I think the "special sauce" Hyundai has is their flexibility. Their products are so fast getting to the market. The Genesis coupe took less than 3 years to reach showrooms whereas it takes GM nearly a decade to get the new Camaro to us.

It's not just with their products either. Look how fast the Assurance program came out. Sure, everyone else followed suit, but Hyundai just knows the market better than anyone, IMO.

I own a '01 Sonata, and have 100 thousand plus miles on it. It's been one of the best cars that I have owned. It's still "tight" no squeeks or noises.
No major problems,engine,transmission,etc.
As for German cars, over priced for what you get.
