I don't look at it as a real car. I don't see a reason to buy one over a normal Mini.
I look at it as a demonstration of the current state of electric car design.
Everywhere you look you see talk / hype about electric cars but you never see what I would consider to be an honest test. Although every car company is on the verge of having their own electric car, I have my doubts that the technology is ready yet.
I think electric cars will be very important some day. They are the perfect second car to do all the errands/ city driving. Whereas gas cars are not efficent at short trips and stop and go, electric cars are perfect for it.
I'd like to see how close we are to that day.

Web site says it charges from a 240V, 32-48 amp outlet.

110 volt for occasional use only because it takes 9 times as long to charge.
