Actually I was told recently that is no longer called Global Warming. Seems the average temp on Earth (in the short time span we've been measuring it) peaked in 1998 and has been cooling slightly since.
Now it's refered to as Climate Change "in order to address the many effects that man has on the world".
Sadly it's a clever move on their part. Warming is something you can prove or disprove. However since the climate has always changed in both the short term and long term, it's impossible to prove any given change isn't manmade.
Should keep the cause (and the money) going for a long time.
By the way I'm still against real pollution and needless waste. I just hate seeing real problems being hijacked by special interest groups sprouting junk science.

firstwagon - I don`t have a dog in this fight but I thought 8 of the 10 warmest years were in the 1998-2008 timeperiod. So it would seem the warming has continued.
We can only tell be looking back so by 2020 we will know if the 21st Century has started out warmer than the 20th ended it.

Karl, how you dare to question someones religion. All religions have right to exist. There always were "scientists" close to royal court who would give religion "scientific" validation. Of course who did not agree went to jail or were burn alive in public square.
But it was in Europe. In secular state like US religious zealots have no right to impose their faith on all those who do not agree. Current occupants of White house and Congress are doing exactly that. Thats why we have file law suits and even impeach president if he tries impose his personal agenda on all of us.
