Sometimes it's fun just to look at pretty pictures.
Automotive photography can be a glorious meeting of natural and man-made beauty. If you've got the budget to fly at car to Iceland or Mallorca, as car companies do, it can elevate that photography to an even higher level. When that company is Aston Martin, well, that level becomes atmospheric.
Enjoy some of my favorites from the Aston Martin catalogue.

How'd you like to be the guy who had to drive this up to the edge? "Seriously, you've got a good 2 more inches, keep coming Trevor!"

Most of these images look like they're HDR. Basically compressing the dark and light exposures of the scene into one photo.

As is true with most automobile marketing images, they look wildly over processed.

No matter how they did it, they still look great.

Too much toning. Looks unnatural. The Astons are gorgeous cars, and many of those environments are downright gorgeous. Why all the photochop?
