In the first installment of Fun With Press Photos, Riswick, James Riswick showcased the breathtaking, yet slightly overstyled images from Aston Martin. This time around, we're going back to the age of liquid lunches, cigarettes in the workplace, thin ties and the Rat Pack.
I haven't had the opportunity to take a few beauty shots of my '57 T-bird to produce a Personal Car blog introduction, but spring is here, so hopefully it'll happen soon. In the meantime, here are some kitschy images from the original sales brochure that's been sitting on my desk.
You know what we don't see enough of in modern press photos? Badminton.
It's clear from this brochure that the Thunderbird had feminine leanings. Check out the vintage luggage and the plaid golf bag! Then there's the lovely lady showing the hard- and soft-top options. Yeah, I think it's time I go for a cruise again.

For once, the brochure images were accurate. Didn't Grace Kelly drive this car in one of her movies? Now THAT'S cool.

This just makes me want to watch Double Indemnity
