I've had 4 Camry's since 1990; '90, '94, '97 & 2000. IMO this is the nicest looking of all. It certainly has the best feature package and the best powertrain packages.

I just traded the 2000 on a 2005 Prius because of the 'deal'. But I may even trade it back next summer on the HSD CAMRY.

If they can get enough components I believe the HSD Camry will be a huge success.

I think Toyota has a winner here. It appears they got most things right. I still prefer side moldings but the industry seems to be moving away from them, plus they should have made VSC standard equipment. Also, the SE should have the dual-zone automatic climate control. Maybe they will at least wake up and make it an option. Otherwise, GREAT JOB Toyota!!!

Ditto that the SE should offer climate control and all other options offered on the XLE. Why does Toyota assume that sporty drivers don't want luxury? They do

I really do like the new style. I'm most impressed with the new interior, specifically the improved Nav system with Bluetooth. Toyota finally went back to the "Cockpit" feel of the 1992-1996 models. One complaint though. Why would Toyota think that family car buyers don't want fold down seats? I have a 2002 SE and I really use the fold down seats on a regular basis. Now it appears that to get a new SE, (or XLE for that matter) I will have to do without that feature. I question why Toyota would choose additional structural stiffness at the expense of practicality on what is a still a family sedan, even in the sportiest trim level. I am guessing that the improvement in handling must be significant.

This car looks like the piles of other japanese cars on the road, BORING!

It *does* have fold down seats. I just bought one yesterday (well, leased).

tinamarie, NOT boring. very fun to drive and a very nice feel. also, when you step on it, it really goes because in essence it has two power sources, the engine AND the motor. Also, CVT (continuously variable transmission) is really nice as you mash the pedal down because you never get that downshift bump. it just throws up the RPMs and goes (fast). And I'm still breaking it in, so I haven't really even floored it yet.
