Saab Aero X concept

I think Saab may be a bit too caught up in their aero heritage, as their
Aero X concept, to be seen at Geneva, has no doors or even an "A" pillar. Instead access and egress is much like that of a jet fighter, with a canopy that opens up and out.
Getting beyond that, it is an AWD vehicle powered by a 400-hp, twin-turbo BioPower V6.
Yep, a bit weird, and Saab to the core...
I like it!

I think it's an interesting concept, though I don't think the opening canopy would make it to production. However, we have seen stranger things that challenge established status quos, make it to production and succeed. Case in point, would you have even dreamed up a Porsche SUV 5 years ago? =)
Either way, "Saab to the core" might not be the best descriptor for this vehicle. It's quirky, yes, it does have a turbo - check, but AWD and a V6 are just relatively recent additions to the brand and are largely due to corporate sharing/badging.
I do like it though, sign me up! =)
And you guys thought it would be just another Saturn Sky rebadge! Go Saab!
I really think this is a great concept car, there is absolutely nothing like it in the GM catalog and all the jargon sounds really good. It would be nice if they could build it for $30-40K. With normal doors of course.
