Commuter helper as a second career

Okay, so you're stuck in horrible traffic during your daily commute, and you come up with this brilliant idea: You park your car, make a sign that says" “Traffic is bad. Spend 2 hours or pay me $10 and get there in 20 minutes,” and then go stand next to the commuter-only traffic lane. Within minutes you get a taker, and you're off. When you get to the end of the HOV lane you get out, go to the opposite side of the highway and repeat your offer... Again, within minutes you get a taker. That's what this guy did, and he's making a nice amount of extra cash daily...

Snippet: He said the first day he was picked up within 15 minutes. When he got dropped off, he walked to the other side, held up his sign and got paid to go back the other way too. On a typical day he makes 2 to 3 round trips during the morning commute rush hour and 3 - 5 round trips during the evening rush hour. If there is an accident and traffic is really slow, his price doubles. He clears $100 - $300 a day sitting in a car so others can get to work and home faster!

An inventive way to abuse the system.

I'm sure around here he'd be arrested for hitch-hiking, LOL.

Plus, car pool lanes usually only work in one direction. Once he got in to town, he'd have to wait 8 hours for someone to take him back, and he'd only get 2 customers a day.

If he didn't get arrested first.
