FV Report: First pic of the 2008 Dodge Dakota

We showed you the facelifted 2008 Ford Focus earlier today, now take a look at what Dodge has in store for next year. From the looks of this latest spy photo, the 2008 Dodge Dakota will get a revamped grille and a new set of headlights by late next year. Expect to see the base 3.7-liter six replaced by Chrysler's new 4.0-liter V6 too, while the V8s get bumps in horsepower. A much needed interior upgrade should be part of the package as well...

Looks like a bigger Caliber.

I agree very caliberesque front. Chrysler has gotten away with facelifts but they really need to make a new body for this truck it has potential but its performance sucks compared to other small trucks. Its good in some categroies but reliability and payload suck

Payload sucks on almost all the small and mid size trucks these days. GVW hasn't kept up with the ever growing curb weight.

true but still the quality is bad but then again the colorado is not perfect either. Hopefully the interior in this truck will be improved.

I am curious as to how many Dakotas you "commentors" have owned? I am on my 5th , it is a 05 model, I regularly tow in excess of 6000 lbs with it. My last one had 192,000 miles on it when i sold it. I checked when i bought this one and no one could even come close on towing. Mine has a 260hp v-8, it's fast! I have found them to be very reliable. I am planning to order an 08'.
