Detroit Auto Show: Flat black terror

So you think the 600hp Viper coupe revealed earlier this morning was an exercise in pointless power? Then take a look at this Mopar concept coupe that was tucked away in the Dodge stand. Although it does feature some real Mopar Performance Parts like a cold air intake system, tubular headers and high-flow exhaust system, we're guessing most of this car's claimed 675 horsepower comes from the "race inspired" pieces like the titanium con rods, lightened crankshaft and polished intake manifold. Regardless of what kind of power it makes, this Viper's best modifications were the flat black paint and racing slicks... Those should be factory options.

She's a beauty.

And as one of the 'fourfathers' once said, "You can never have too much horsepower."

You may think that's flat black, but once you see a car that's been spray painted in flat black you'll realize that's a beautiful satin sheen or something like that. Real flat black is hideous.

Does look like satin black.
Does that sound too girly for the viper?

Ive always though this car looked like a really big Honda S2000.

Nah, the S2000 just looks like a really small Viper.
