JDM Subaru Impreza image leaked
There has been a lot of consternation over the grille of the '08 Subaru Impreza. Last month a camera phone image of an '08 Impreza was caught out on the street near Subaru's Cherry Hill, NJ headquarters sporting a different grille (
2008 Subaru WRX spotted with different grille and wheels).
Now a blurry spy image of the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) "S-GT" (not WRX!?!?), with an aero kit, has been posted which also sports that grille. Reportedly the JDM Imprezas will go on sale shortly, perhaps as early as in a few weeks...

And it looks better, too.
Subaru has always offered multiple grilles for its vehicles. I remember getting a hold of some JDM catalogs and at one point I found 7 different grilles for the Legacy and Outback, and I'm talking from the same model year.
There will be choices, no doubt.
Ummm... 7 different grilles in one year? Isn't that akin to Mulally dumping 10 different hood rod props on the table during a board meeting and asking why they need that many? Doesn't seem very efficient to me, especially on something like a grille.
Wow, that is pretty. The side profile is very E9x. So why do we get the ugly grille?
