Alfa Romeo coming Stateside

Long rumored and now official: Alfa Romeo is returning to the American market after a long (too long!) absence. This was announced at a preview of the 2008 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione at the Concours d'Elegance, which held at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, MI. There will be 50 U.S.-based dealers, most if not all will current Maserati dealers.

It'll be too late for the current-gen 147gta to make it over. I would've bought one, reliability and torque steer be damned.
I'm glad they made it official, but I'm still skeptical as plans can change.
I guess I'll believe it when I see it. Too bad the 156 is gone.
I, too, will believe it when I see it.
Good gawd that 8C is gorgeous... Ferraris, Maseratis, Alfas, Ducatis...
Italians really have the design thing down...
It wasn't official before? Oh well. I see they've moved the date up to '08.
Why can't the imports have styling like that. Why can't the domestics have styling like that. Why can't the whole world make cars as sexy as the Italians. Instead we get ugly cars, like the Aztec (GM will be hearing about that one for many dacades to come) and vanilla cars, like Sonata.
^ I agree. The Italian design is breathtaking and the 8C is hot.
Damn...
