Pork: The Other White Meat :: Clubman: The Other Mini
Mini chose Los Angeles for the North American introduction of its new Clubman. This is the third Mini model, with a larger crossoverlike vehicle to come, and a further step in "moving Mini from a cult car to culture." I just love auto show slogans. Pricing for the base Cooper Clubman was announced as $20,600 and $24,100 for the Cooper S Clubman, both including 3-year free maintenance... Although we described this stretched Mini in detail in the First Drive, let me just add how much of a difference the added 9.4 inches of length makes for cargo space and backseat legroom. With the driver seat all the way back (as I drive), I can actually fit my hand sideways between the front and backseats! If you've ever seen the backseat of the regular Cooper, you'll realize that, yes, the exclamation mark is warranted. -- James Riswick, Associate Editor

"With the driver seat all the way back (as I drive), I can actually fit my hand sideways between the front and back seats!"
Quote of the day! Good one, James!
I wonder how close the Canadian prices will be to that. Right now we are charged over $25K for a base regular Mini and over $30K for an S.
When you take into account the Canadian dollar is now worth more then the US dollar, I'd like to see how they are going to spin this.
I've heard that those types of questions are no longer on the SAT. What a world....
A) They aren't and B) they're analogies, not anagrams
You guys are right, as of 2005 the SAT changed, thankfully.
I scored a measley 1150 on that test. Luckily I got a 32 on the ACT. I might still be flipping burgers!
Those are respectible prices for the Mini. I just wish the options weren't so expensive!
I agree that price is reasonable.
Consider that it's about $9 grand less than the BMW 128i coupe.
