Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet: 2008 Geneva Auto Show

Here's a variant of the second-generation, Europe-only Ford Focus that we needn't bother coveting: the restyled 2009 Ford Focus Coupe-Cabriolet. For starters, we already have a better version of this hardtop convertible called the Volvo C70, and even it is not particularly inspiring to drive.
Then, there's the styling. The retractable hardtop mechanism necessitates a massive rear overhang that culminates in a saggy back end.

Finally, price: With all the expense that went into building the hardtop and stiffening the chassis for a top-down application, there's no way Ford could charge less than $30,000 for it in the U.S. Let the Europeans keep this one.

WRONG Banglebutt! I want this convertible here in the good ole United States of American. Build it, ship it and buyers will come! Too bad Ford and the other American companies are too dumb to build NICE attractive, gotta have cars for the home team (we Americans). Companies like Ford who give us previous generation junk like the Focus deserve to fail! It's a simple business tenent Mr. Mulhally......KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER and as Simon & Garfunkel sang: "Keep the Customer Satisfied"!
