For anyone who's anxiously awaiting the 2010 Ford Mustang, here's a sneak peek at its new headlight design. It's not much, but clearly Ford's designers are making some changes.
well if thats real, then the new cover for car and driver could really be the new mustang. I don't know who has seen it but the mustang on the front looks really good and more modern, it looks like it can compete with the camaro now
I'm a lot more interested in the [probable] 302 behind those headlights. Though nice to see that now they're trying for the later 60's/early 70's Mustang headlights now. I guess in 2012 or so we should expect a Mustang II look-a-like?
In 2030 should we expect a Mustang that is a retro version of the fox body?
estreka - This is only a facelift, maybe an engine update. The basic car will be the same. If they were updating the car every 4 years it would finally bring them in SYNC (ha!) with model turnover for the Japanese brands. It's unheard of that we don't get a completely new Civic or Accord every 4-5 years.

Ford is revamping the Mustang already? I know sales have been slow, but wow, it'll only have been 4 years.
Well remember, Dodge and Chevrolet are both bringing out the Challenger and Camaro. Better do it now than to wait.

That's what I was alluding to. You're probably right on the facelift.
Car and Driver is reporting that it will have an all-new interior. That is significantly more important than the exterior mild facelift.
Banish the Brick!
Looks better. The base car now looks more like the GT500.
