Subaru WRC2008 takes second at Acropolis race debut

Yep, Sebastien Loeb and Citroen took the usual top spot at the 2008 WRC Acropolis rally this weekend. However, for Subaru fans, the debut of the all-new WRC 2008 rally racer, was equally noteworthy. In the hands of Petter Solberg, it placed second in this very grueling rally, which is known as one of the toughest on the WRC race calender. Much hope and great expectations are being placed on this all-new racer from Subaru, and in its initial outing showed great promise for the future... “I’m almost overwhelmed,” said Solberg. “It’s been perfect - we’ve had no problems all rally. The guys in the team did a fantastic job to get the car ready for this event and now I can say that the future looks great. The new car has shown it has the necessary pace and there’s a lot more to come. Brilliant!”
