AMAZING video! :o)
It would be interesting to see what could be achieved with a standing start (not just the ZR1, but the GT-R Spec V and others, too).
The overlay with speed, RPM, and lap time was pretty cool. A gear indicator would have also been nice.
I agree with Suby. Im also impressed on how well the car delivered its power to the ground so efficiently. I thought the car would have severe traction issues given its power/torque specs.
I consider myslef an above average driver as Ive has limited track time but Im no where near this drivers level. I couldnt imagine going that fast on a track with virtually no run off. Truly insane!
Id like to see the same video layout with the GT-R and that V10 Acura GT.
Edmunds, bring the edit feature back please!
LOL at the cellphone (hands free!) Or was that what they were using to transmit the diagnostics back?
I was guessing the gears from how he moved his hands -- only engaged top gear on that final straight -- at 160+ mph after resting his hand on the shifter for 3-4 seconds.
Makes me want to go to a track
Those brakes shave off the speed instantaneously when its needed. Very nice video! One heck of a lap.
Great video! This guy has a big pair - no doubt!! I noticed several points on the lap where the car leaves the ground, a couple of times at high speed and at least once where the car gets a little "crossed up" in the air and requires correction. I also notice quite a difference between the composure of the Vette and the GT-R. No question the Vette is awesome, but it looks to be more of a handful/requires more daring and talent to post a lap like this - IMO.

that''s not a hands free, that's a walkie-talkie!!! at the end you can hear the support crew with the lap time...
