AWD is already part of the package on the top-of-the-line LS 600h. Now Lexus will offer AWD on the less expensive LS 460. The AWD's default front/rear power split is 40/60 but can change to 30/70 depending on driving conditions. The engine puts out 381 hp, and that power is sent to the wheels via an 8-speed transmission. This is unlike the AWD LS 600h, which uses an electronically-controled CVT. The car should go on sale at the end of the year in Russia, and probably here too.
