Porsche brought out the big guns when it came time to introduce the 2009 Boxster. And no, we're not talking about Jerry Seinfeld, who happened to be sitting in the front row, or the numerous executives and racing legends who sat on either side of him. Porsche actually went one bigger -- it bought out numero uno, as in the very first Porsche ever built.
Next to the 2009 Boxster, the silver 356 looked, well...gorgeous. Simple in its lines and purpose. Porsche executives rambled on for several minutes about how it set the tone for all Porsches after it. Strangely, they did not go into detail about how that philosphy was applied to the Cayenne.
As for the Boxster, it looks about the same as it did for 2008. New headlights, a few extra LEDs and different wheel designs are the only changes on the outside. There are new engines and a dual clutch transmission, too. You can read about all the details on the 2009 Porsche Boxster here.

no pictures of the 356?
what a tease.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.
Boxster hasn't changed much since the original, to be honest. These lights do look better.
