2008 L.A. Auto Show: Hey, GM's Here, Too!

Cadillac CTS Wagon

GM didn't do a press conference this year, which is a shame because I heard they were going to feature Hawaiian fire dancers, three miniature blimps, foie gras hor d'oeuvres and Carmen Electra to introduce the Chevy Volt. Oh well. But there's still the usual massive GM showing at the show with a few cars of note. They've been showed elsewhere, but they're still worth checking out if you make it to the show this year. The Volt is here, too, I just didn't think to take a photo. The Cadillac CTS Wagon is stunning -- the best-looking wagon since the Alfa 156. -- James Riswick, Automotive Editor

I think the Alfa 159 Sportswagon was the nicest one, but yes, this Caddy looks good.

solstice coupe is incredible, shame about the interior. i still don't get the CTS wagon...I don't like the look and I don't think it has a market.

CTS Wagon looks alright except for the funky D-pillar. I'm also not a fan of (the) chrome wheels.

Caddy looks great, but I'm with Suby on the wheels. Chrome isn't cool anymore. It just looks like a cheap Wal-Mart wheel cover.

I too like the CTS wagon—except the tiny rear quarter window. That's simply a concession to styling, and creates an unnecessary (and unforgivable) blind spot to the rear.

The CTS is certainly a great design and the wagon just takes it to another level. Cadillac designers have done a fine job.

You Caddy designers should go over to the Acura design center and give them a few tips.

The CTS wagon is really impressive. I'm surprised the design worked so well for a wagon. Hope there's a rear-view camera, though, 'cause the visibility is going to suck.

As sexy as the Solstice coupe is (and it really is), it's destroyed by the 1998--oops, I mean 2009 Saab 9-5 parked behind it. It's like the really ugly uncle that always ruins nice family photos.

CTS wagon is hot. And now they have an interior that shames a few German cars.

What's with that wagon's insane d-pillar? Did one of the Murano designers break into GM's design studios?

That solstice coupe is nice looking. too bad about the interior, engine, underpinnings, etc.
