Understanding the nature of seasonality when selling your convertible.
We're in the middle of winter, which normally means that half of our county is covered in rain or snow. While the winter has been relatively mild compared to past years, the weather plays an essential role in deciding when to sell your vehicle.
For example, say you need to sell a convertible. It probably isn't the
best idea to do so while the skies are overcast and the thermometer
hovers around 20 degrees. After all, most convertible purchases are
drive by emotion, not necessity. Wait until the sun comes out and the
snow melts, that way prospective buyers can experience the liberating
joy of tooling around town with the top down and your hair blowing in
the wind without the frostbite or inevitable dampness.
The same rule of thumb applies to selling a rwd sports car or sedan:
It's a lot more fun to test drive when the rear-end doesn't start
sliding at every turn.

I'll save the For Sale sign until May for my Miata, then. ;-)
