Which Cars are YOUR Favorites? The Edmunds Staff Wants To Know.
What's the best economy car in today's world of fluctuating fuel prices? How can you most efficiently and effectively haul your family and cargo around? Which off-road runabout is the most capable vehicle when tackling the road less traveled? The Edmunds.com staff has its opinion, but we'd also like to hear yours. So we're starting a new Consumers' Favorites opinion poll to learn which vehicles get your vote in a variety of categories. The category will change every month, so check back regularly to cast your vote in the current poll and see which vehicles won our previous surveys. Candidates for each survey will represent cars currently available in showrooms, regardless of model years (meaning many 2010s will already be eligible).
Which economy car would you most like to drive? To vote, click here. Coming up in the next two months are Best Family Hauler and Best Convertible.

For me, it was a VERY tough call between the Fusion Hybrid and the Jetta TDI. The novelty factor and amenities of the Fusion won out in terms of the survey; but if my own income were factored in, then the Jetta TDI *WAGON* would take it.
My most anticipated would be the 2010 Ford Fusion (non-hybrid). Econo-car mpg in a roomy sedan, has me excited.
I can't wait to see what follows.
I think several of those are too expensive to be called economy cars but it's your list so I voted for the best by far. The Mini.
BTW... you should have included the Soul.
