Green Car Advisor: Aptera to Get Federal Loan?

President Obama has signed a bill extending eligibility for federal Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Program loans to promote the development of fuel-efficient vehicles. Aptera -- manufacturer of the futuristic, three-wheeled Aptera 2e -- has announced that it's updating its previously rejected application for a $75 million loan from the program.

IL News: Chrysler to Offer Mobile TV Beginning in December

Starting in late December, Chrysler will roll out a mobile TV option that will be available on several models with factory-equipped DVD entertainment systems. The feature will be priced at $629 plus installation.

AutoObserver: October Is Year's Best Non-Clunker Month

October sales are expected to be the year's best, with the exception of the sales numbers generated during the frenzied Cash for Clunker months. "There are clear signs that the automotive industry is finally starting to recover from the painful lows experienced earlier this year," said Jessica Caldwell, Edmunds.com's Director of Industry Analysis.
