#2 seems a little out of place. There's a LOT of controversy over E85 and your article seems to have planted itself clearly on one side of the political debate. This article doesn't seem like the appropraite place for grandstanding.

Btw: I'll let you find the typo in #2. It's glaring.

I'm also not excited about #7. I don't see how cruise control is directly related to the behavior discussed. Are you trying to say people who don't use cruise, drive like idiots?

#4 is true in cities that had some semblance of city planning and/or civil engineering that turn red lights to green in succession to allow you to go through several lights at a prudent speed.

In Boston, stoplight drags actually CAN get you through more green lights on some major streets. Lights turn red or green on major streets with no pattern, so that you often get stuck at a red while the next light would then turn green, with no car to take advantage of it because everyone is stuck at the previous red. Thank goodness city police almost never ticket for running a red. ;)

It is also safer to floor it when you get the green, to discourage those who try to make a left from the opposite direction not to even bother trying to beat you to it (yield when there's no green arrow? what's that?). Well, okay, that last one is a stretch.

Stop lights are the worst cause of wasting gas. Abolish Stop lights.

Bicycles!!! Everyone should drive bikes . . . but not exhale too much because it creates CO2.

How did this make it to Edmunds daily???
