2010 Suzuki Kizashi Pricing Announced

2010 Suzuki Kizashi

Pricing has been announced for Suzuki's new midsize sedan. The Kizashi will start at $18,999 for the 2WD, S model with a manual transmission, and tops out at $26,749 for the 4WD, SLS model with a CVT transmission. Suzuki says that the volume seller will be the SE model, which starts at $21,499, and adds larger wheels, cruise control, power driver's seat, and the CVT transmission.

The Kizashi will have a surprising amount of standard features given its price. The base model Kizashi S will have: eight airbags, pushbutton keyless start, dual-zone climate control, nine speaker audio with steering wheel controls, power windows/doors/mirrors, projector beam headlights, stability control, and ABS brakes.

This car is slightly larger than a Volkswagen Jetta, and has a similar upscale, European feel. Recently, we had the chance to drive the Kizashi, and were pleasantly surprised.

It's nice, but not the value I was hoping given that these prices only relate to the ho-hum 4-banger. It's pretty comparable to a Jetta 2.5 I guess...I'd rather have the VW's I5, but the Suzuki is at least competitive in most other respects, and has a few of its own strong points for sure.
