Ford Announces Pricing, Horsepower on New 6.2-liter V8 Raptor

On December 1, Ford dealers will start taking orders for the new 6.2-liter V8 Raptor. The pickup, now the most powerful half-ton truck on the market, makes 411 hp and 434 lb-ft of torque -- 91 hp more than the standard 5.4-liter Triton V8. The high-speed off-roader will start at $41,995, including destination and delivery.
Also today, Ford announced a limited-edition racing version, the $99,950 2011 FR Raptor XT.
The offroad-only XT will look much the same as the F-150 Raptor R (pictured left), which finished the 2008 Tecate SCORE Baja 1000, but it will have the comfort and convenience features of a production Raptor.
Only 50 of these Baja 1000-ready beauties can be bought, costing a mere $50 shy of the $100K mark.
