To the Rescue! "Safety Girl" Roadside Emergency Kit -- for all your other "emergencies"

I recently discovered these cute-as-can-be kits for women. While the Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit has a few car-related items [instructions on how to change a tire and jump a battery, light sticks (instead of the matches shown below), water bottle, emergency blanket, accident record], it won't substitute for a full-blown emergency kit.

Instead, its charm is in everything else that's inside, including a professional emory board; breath mints; antibacterial wipes; band aids and alcohol wipes; portable wipes (for taking out stains); two squares of Ghiradelli chocolate (!); Dove invisible solid antiperspirant; eyeglass cleaning tissue; a sewing kit with scissors, buttons, and safety pins in a tiny, pink plastic case; a lip balm and aromatherapy headache remedy from Balm of Gilead. And they wisely included a couple of tampons as well.Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit. Photo courtesy of GTV Studios.

I can't tell you how many time I've wished I had at least one of these items with me on the road. This is the kind of kit I'm happy to have in the car just in case of... anything!  It's smart, compact, and well executed, and will make a great holiday gift, though a bit pricey at $31.95. They'll start shipping on Nov. 19th. The same company, GTV Studios, also sells a "Hero" emergency kit which includes different items for your "hero" to use.

And, if you'd like to make sure you're covered in all areas, check out these Edmunds articles, as well:

Hey, those kits look awesome! Definite a great gift to give (or get). I hate getting stuck without things you need. I DID however, recently get stuck without a few handy things I SHOULD've had on hand: flashlight, battery charger that kind of stuff, so not wanting to be stuck again, I got a couple great items through http://ezgobag.com .

They specialize in 'emergency prep' kits, but have a ton of a la carte items that seemed more useful to me. Especially the no-batteries required jumpstarter....i have a bad habit of leaving my lights on ;)

Hope this helps!
